AP Human Geography uses spatial thinking to understand human society: where people live, how they move, how cultures spread, how political boundaries form, how food is grown, how industries cluster and how cities grow. The course gives students an intuitive feel for why places have the features they do, how human activity shapes place, and how globalisation reshapes local geography. Our programme is ideal for first-year AP students; we visualise the geographic models, build map literacy and develop the FRQ writing structure that the exam rewards.

Yes — clear unit structure, manageable maths, and FRQ writing that transfers to other social-science APs. Many students take APHG in 9th or 10th grade.
How much memorisation is involved?
Substantial — models, vocabulary and named examples all need to be available for application. We organise them as themed banks rather than long flat lists.
Do international students do well on APHG?
Often yes — regional knowledge from non-US curricula transfers directly. The main work is learning the AP rubric and FRQ writing style.
How many tutoring hours are typical?
