The Final Stretch Before the Exam

Between 07/04/2027 and 11/04/2027 there are no live lessons, no compulsory mock exams and no new topics. This period is reserved for each student's own final revision: their error log, mistakes from earlier mocks, question types they find hard, formulae and short notes, and their personal strategy.

Who Is This Programme For?

This programme is not designed to teach mathematics from scratch. It is built for students who already have secondary-school mathematics behind them, know the fundamentals of geometry, and are preparing seriously for TR-YÖS with a high score in mind.

The academic approach: adapt the mathematics a student already has to the way TR-YÖS asks questions, build problem-solving speed, teach the Mathematics and Geometry techniques specific to this exam, and develop strong exam practice in the Numerical Reasoning section in particular.

Introductory topics the lessons do not dwell on

Definitions of natural and rational numbers, what an acute or obtuse angle is, what a triangle is, the four operations, very basic equation solving and very basic geometric definitions.

About the exam date

The programme calendar has been planned around a target exam date of 12/04/2027. Dates will be updated as needed once ÖSYM publishes its official 2027 exam calendar.

The IQ section does not reward memorisation — it tests pattern recognition and logical thinking, both of which are trainable with consistent practice. Maths and Geometry Strategy in YÖS Private Tutoring

Maths and geometry together account for 40 questions — 50% of the YÖS score. In our YÖS private tutoring we build a fully personalised curriculum sized to the student's current level. Algebra and functions show up the most often, so a strong foundation there is the single biggest YÖS-score lever. In geometry, triangle and circle questions alone account for roughly 50% of the section.

What is the YÖS Exam and How Should You Prepare?

YÖS (Yabancı Uyruklu Öğrenci Sınavı / Foreign Student Exam) is the standard examination used to admit foreign nationals to Turkish universities. From 2024 onward, the centralised TR-YÖS administered by ÖSYM is accepted by the vast majority of Turkish state universities. It is sat twice a year — as TR YÖS 1 in spring and TR YÖS 2 in autumn — giving each candidate two scoring opportunities per cycle.

What Does YÖS Success Actually Require?

A successful YÖS prep course rests on three pillars: IQ (Basic Learning Skills), Mathematics, and Geometry. Because the IQ section alone accounts for 50% of the total score, strong IQ preparation is the foundation of YÖS success. Number series, visual pattern recognition, and logical-deduction questions all reward consistent, focused practice over rote memorisation.

In Mathematics, algebra, functions, and limits/derivatives are the most frequently tested topics. Geometry is dominated by triangles, circles, and trigonometry — and rewards visual analysis as much as formula recall.

Advantages of YÖS Private Tutoring

TR-YÖS vs. University-Specific YÖS

Each university used to run its own YÖS sitting; from 2024 onward, ÖSYM's centralised TR-YÖS consolidated this into a single national exam. A handful of foundation universities still run their own sittings, but the vast majority of state universities now rely on TR-YÖS scores.
