Private Group Course
SSAT Private Group Course
We run the SSAT course as a private group rather than in open cohorts: your group starts once 3 or more students preparing for the same test come together. There are no published start dates, but the plan is the same for every group, as set out below.
- 39 hours of live lessons over 12 weeks
- 36 topic lessons + 3 practice-test review lessons, 60 minutes each
- 3 lessons a week: 1 on a weekday evening and 2 on Saturday, with a break between them. In weeks 4, 8 and 12, that week's practice-test review is added as a 4th lesson.
- 2 tutors: Verbal + Reading + Writing Sample · Quantitative
- Students sit 3 official SSAT practice tests, in weeks 4, 8 and 12, each followed by a 60-minute review lesson the same week.
- Middle Level and Upper Level run as separate groups.
- Parents receive a lesson report after every lesson.

Depending on your starting level, we typically recommend 3–6 months. Intensive programmes can shorten this.
Our tutors hold undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in their subject and have been teaching exam preparation since at least 2016. Selection combines a subject test, a trial lesson and student feedback.
All lessons run on the TestPrep Online Education Software we built specifically for tutoring. Lessons are live and interactive, and you can join from anywhere in the world.
In the private group course, yes: Students sit 3 official SSAT practice tests, in weeks 4, 8 and 12, each followed by a 60-minute review lesson the same week. We do not sell a separate practice-test package for this exam.
