Why A-Level Geography?

Why A-Level Geography matters

1:1 tutoring and small-group A-Level cohorts mapped to your target grade — designed for students applying to UK and European universities.

A-Level Geography studies physical and human geography alongside contemporary global issues (climate change, urbanisation, migration) within a scientific and analytical framework. It is a strong foundation for urban planning, environmental consultancy, international development and data-driven policy careers.

TestPrep Europe's A-Level tutoring is fully personalised: every lesson focuses on your specific weak topics, drills past papers from your exam board, and walks through mark schemes so you understand exactly how marks are awarded. Our small-group cohorts (max 6 students) give you weekly accountability alongside students chasing the same grade. Whichever format you choose, our experienced A-Level instructors build a strategic plan aimed at A*.

Overview

About A-Level Geography

A-Level Geography is an interdisciplinary subject investigating the interaction between natural systems and human activity. The physical-geography papers cover water and carbon cycles, natural hazards and ecosystem management; the human-geography papers cover globalisation, migration, urbanisation and resource security. The NEA fieldwork investigation demonstrates independent research and analysis skills. Our programme provides case-study preparation, essay technique and NEA supervision.

1:1 A-Level tutoring — personalised support

Our 1:1 A-Level tutoring is built entirely around the student's current grade, target grade, and the exam board they're sitting. Each session focuses on your specific weak topics, drills AQA, OCR, Edexcel, CIE past-paper questions, and walks through mark schemes so you understand exactly what's being assessed. Our instructors stay current with every spec revision so the work you put in mirrors what gets rewarded in the summer series.

Small-group A-Level courses — structured cohorts

Our small-group A-Level courses (max 6 students) give you a structured weekly programme alongside students chasing the same grade. The syllabus tracks the AQA, OCR, Edexcel, CIE specification unit-by-unit and includes weekly quizzes plus full-length mock exams to benchmark progress. Both online cohorts and on-campus options are available across our European hubs, with particular emphasis on students at British schools and international schools.

How TestPrep Europe teaches A-Level Geography

Case-study discipline

We maintain a curated, recent case-study bank organised by topic and development level so students always have current evidence.

Fieldwork / NEA as research

NEA is structured as a real research project — focused question, methodology, data, analysis, evaluation. Final work remains the student's own.

Synoptic essays

Synoptic essays reward integration across topics. We drill the integration habit explicitly.

Sıkça sorulan sorular

AQA and OCR have the largest content maps. Edexcel A and B differ in topic mix. Cambridge International (9696) follows its own structure.

How quantitative is A-Level Geography?

Students typically book 50–90 hours across two years. We start with a free diagnostic.
