IGCSE Mathematics is the standard course taken by most students. IGCSE Further Pure Mathematics is an additional, more demanding course that overlaps with the early A-Level Maths content — useful preparation for AS / A-Level Mathematics.
Most schools require an A or A* (or 7+) in IGCSE Mathematics — and often Further Pure — before allowing entry to A-Level Maths. Confirm with the school.
