AP Statistics score calculator
Enter how many multiple-choice questions you got right and the points you earned on each free-response question. The calculator weights each section the way College Board does and shows your composite. We don't give a 1–5 estimate for this subject; the reason is under the result.
Subject:AP Statistics
Composite 0 out of 100
How is the composite worked out?
Your share of each section is multiplied by that section's official weight and the results are added up, giving a score out of 100. A free-response question takes its section's share in proportion to its points.
| Section | Questions | Time | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Section IMultiple Choice | 42 | 90 min | 50% |
| Section IIFree Response · 40 pts | 4 | 90 min | 50% |
Why is there no 1–5 estimate?
College Board publishes no cut scores for current AP exams, so every 1–5 figure is an estimate. We show one only where we can base it on scoring worksheets College Board released with its practice exams. We have no such worksheet for this exam's current format, so the calculator gives your composite and does not convert it to a 1–5.
Where next?
A practice test sat under real timing turns the numbers you enter here from guesses into measurements.
Frequently asked questions
How is the AP Statistics composite score calculated?▾
Each section counts at its official weight: Section I (42 multiple-choice questions) 50% and Section II (4 free-response questions, 10 points each) 50%. Your share of each section is multiplied by its weight and the results are added up, giving a composite out of 100.
Why is there no 1–5 estimate for AP Statistics?▾
College Board publishes no cut scores. We show an estimated range only where we can base it on scoring worksheets College Board released with its practice exams, and we have no such worksheet for this exam's current format. So the calculator gives the composite and stops there.
Do wrong answers lose points?▾
No. On AP multiple-choice sections a wrong or blank answer costs nothing and every correct answer is worth one point, so it always pays to answer every question.
How do I know my free-response points?▾
Score your answer against the scoring guidelines College Board publishes for that question. In our AP practice tests, your free-response answers get an AI estimate against the official scoring rows, with feedback on each row.
