Frequently asked questions
What is an AP composite score?▾
The composite is your raw score with each section counted at its official weight. This calculator puts it on a 0–100 scale: your share of each section is multiplied by that section's weight and the results are added up.
How reliable is the estimated AP score?▾
College Board does not publish cut scores for current exams, so every 1–5 figure is an estimate. We show one only where we can base it on scoring worksheets College Board has released (AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, AP Chemistry and AP Physics 1), and always as a range that carries its uncertainty.
Do I need an account to use it?▾
No. The calculator is free, needs no account and doesn't store what you enter; the sums run in your browser.
